PSU (polysulfone)
PSU is a thermoplastic with high mechanical strength and stiffness.
In addition to its high continuous service temperature, its salient properties include a remarkably high creep resistance over a wide temperature range. Due to its amorphous molecular structure, PSU is translucent and exhibits a slightly yellowish transparency. In addition, the material has high dimensional stability and very good hydrolysis resistance.

The properties of PSU are:- high continuous service temperature (160°C)
- very good hydrolysis resistance (suitable for repeated steam sterilization)
- high toughness even at low temperatures

- high mechanical strength
- high rigidity
- high creep resistance over a wide temperature range
- very good resistance to high-energy radiation (Gamma and x-rays)
- good electrical insulating and dielectric properties
