PCTFE (polychlorotrifluoroethylene)
PCTFE is a fully halogenated thermoplastic.
PCTFE has the highest hardness, strength and stiffness among the fluoroplastics. The material has very good machinability, dimensional stability and can be used in a wide temperature range (approx. -240 to +205 °C).
Properties
The properties of PCTFE are:- highest rigidity and strength among the fluoroplastics
- can be used in refrigeration (-255°C to +155°C)
- higher chemical resistance than PVDF
- very high ion purity
- scratch resistant and hard
- one of the best insulators
Applications
PCTFE can be used in the following areas:- Laboratory equipment

PCTFE is available in the following dimensions:- Pressed round bars 400 mm long
- Extruded round bars 2000 mm long
