PA 12 C (polyamide 12 cast)
PA 12 C is cast without pressure from lauric lactam.
A large number of outstanding properties make PA 12 C a superior construction material, e.g. in mechanical and apparatus engineering, the automotive industry, drive technology, food, printing, paper and packaging industries. In addition, it is characterized in particular by its lower moisture absorption than PA 6 C.
Properties
The properties of PA 12 C are:- creep and wear resistant
- temperature resistant (-60°C to +120°C)
- continuous loading
- dimensionally stable under load
- chemical resistant
- the polyamide with the lowest water absorption
Applications
PA 12 C can be used in the following areas:- Gears
- Cam
- Control discs
- Embossing forms
Modification option
PA 12 G with cast-in steel core.
The special casting process in combination with the tough-hard material characteristics of PA 12 G enables the production of semi-finished products with non-detachable cast-in steel reinforcements made of e.g. free-cutting steel, C45, St52, V2A, V4A, aluminum, brass and gray cast iron.
The metal core provides additional stability in the application behavior for machine elements.

- no loosening of the hub due to plastic-compatible bond
